Director of Student Engagement & Well-Being
Academic Professional | School of ECE - Georgia Institute of Technology
  • As the inaugural director of the Student Engagement & Well-Being Office in ECE, established the SEWB Office as a resource for students and faculty, directly benefiting the student community, that continues to evolve to meet student needs. [Fall 2022 - Present]
  • Co-created ECE STEER Fellowship for teaching excellence as well as designed and administer cohort learning for ECE PhD fellows. [Summer 2023 - Present]
  • Initiated and organize a recurring semester wellness series that partners with the Wellness Empowerment Center to give students skills that can improve their well-being, culminating in a stress relieving event, and wellness drop-in event that are attended by several hundred students every semester. [Spring 2023 - Present]
  • Established and manage a Student Conference and Career Development Support Fund for undergraduate and graduate students. [Fall 2022 - Present]
  • Run the Peer Advisor mentorship program for undergraduate students to speak to experienced peers during weekly office hours. [Fall 2019 - Present]

 2023 -

ECE 1100 Instructor [Fall 2023 - present]
  • Discovery Studio - First Year Introductory ECE Course.
  • Introduces students to the ECE curriculum, ECE resources, work on an individual engineering project, work on their professional development, and plan their academic career.
  • Required course for ECE undergraduate students.

ECE 2036 Instructor [Spring 2024]
  • Engineering Software Design
  • Teaches object-oriented programming through C++, as well as applying OOP in embedded systems.
  • Required course option for EE undergraduate students.

ECE 3005 Instructor [Spring 2023, Summer 2023]
  • Professional and Technical Communication Course.
  • Prepares students for advanced communication tasks required in academic and professional settings.
  • Required communication course for ECE undergraduate students.

2022

 CETL 8000 Instructor [Spring 2022]
  • Introduction to the procedural information and practical skills needed to be an effective
    graduate teaching assistant and hones transferable skills that enhance their professional development.
  • Concepts covered include a foundation for learner-centered teaching, measuring teaching effectiveness,
    active learning, and managing classroom dynamics.

2020-2021

Tech to Teaching Certificate
  • A multi-semester preparing future faculty program that includes pedagogy training and practice.

GT 1000 Research Track Instructor
Instructor for summer freshman course to acclimate to Georgia Tech
  • Helped students understand how to pursue undergraduate research opportunities
  • Taught students how to become a competitive candidate

ECE Student Outreach Coordinator
Created and run the ECE Peer Advisor Program in conjunction with the ECE Ambassadors Tour Program
  • Created a new avenue for students to seek help and advice
  • Implemented a new method to grow the Tour Guide program for the ECE Ambassadors to aid Prospective Students

Tec Camp and Jr. Tec Camp Instructor
Summer STEM program for middle school girls through the Women in Engineering at Georgia Tech
  • Introduced programming and robotic concepts to over 40 girls. 
  • Guided the students to make robots using Scratch and Hummingbird kits

National Technology Student Association (TSA)  Conference, Atlanta
  • Spoke to middle school TSA students about AEOP opportunities
  • Discussed my career path, and the importance of STEM to any career

  • Creator of ECE Faculty Luncheon to bridge the gap between faculty and students
  • Interacted with over 450 prospective students and parents, given over 70 tours

  • Awarded the 2019 ECE Graduate Teaching Assistant Excellence Award
  • Mentored over 60 undergraduate students and helped shape professional skills, such as a competitive resume, and technical presentation and writing skills

Secretary and Officer
  • Initiated networking events for members and industry recruiters, increasing industry participation with the group and creating a more intimate space for members to speak to recruiters
  • Outreach efforts led to about 10% increase in female ECE undergrads
